Brothers who grew up together become transgender sisters

Two siblings who grew up as brothers became sisters and are supporting each other in the transition.

23-year-old Jamie O'Herlihy and 20-year-old Daniel O'Herlihy of Ireland, grew up struggling with their gender identity.

They said that for years, they kept their gender identity a secret.

However, when Jamie O'Herlihy, a bartender in Dublin, went back home to Cork, to attend his brother’s graduation, they opened up to each other and learned of each other’s struggles.

Now, Jamie and Daniel, who changed his named to Chloe, said that it was a huge relief to learn that they could support each other and they “are in it together.”
